How to Measure:

Shoulders:

This is a really important measurement. You can wear a fitted shirt and measure from seam to seam of the shirt. Or you can draw an imaginary line from armpit up, and measure at the widest part of the shoulders.

Bust:

Measure around your bust, at the widest part. This is not the equivalent of your bra size, so be sure to measure this one correctly.

Waist:

Measure around your waist at the level of your belly button or just below. This will be wear your jods will sit. The waist of your suit coat will be slightly larger, to accommodate the bulk of your jod waistband, shirt and vest.

Length:

Your coat length is the measurements from the base of your neck to the bend at the back of your knee.

Nape to Waist:

Measure from the base of your neck to your natural waist. This where the coat darts will sit, and allow for proper flow of your suit coat. If its too high, the pleats can be closed up and "lowered" for the proper look. However, they are unable to be raised.

Sleeve:

Measure from the top seam of the fitted shirt, or the top of the shoulder, to the knuckle of your thumb.

Inseam:

Measure from crotch to floor, without wearing shoes. Add 4" to this to find the finished length you will need for your jods.

Rise:

Measure from waist to where the middle seam will sit.

Seat/Hips:

Measure around the widest part of your hips, Be generous here, you want to be able put your leg over your horse and sit in your saddle!

Thigh:

Measure around the widest part of your thigh. Try this measurement while seated.

Calf:

Measure around the widest part of your calf. Be sure to flex your calf, or put your "heels down".
